What Is Hero’s Mission?

How to Fuel the Hunt: Scattered Parts

Scattered Parts are the event’s high-octane fuel, and your rally engine is the march queue. Without them, a rally is just a sled dog team with no snow. Players earn Scattered Parts by defeating beasts on the world map, but not every beast drops them. Lower-level beasts can still provide the goods, so don’t ignore a shivering critter just because it looks weak.

For those with an Ultra Value Monthly Card, the auto-hunt feature turns beast farming into a cruise through the tundra. Players can set the desired beast level range, define deactivation triggers, and choose which formations to deploy. This saves time and transforms resource gathering into a hands-free operation—like hiring a snowplow to clear the path before the rally train arrives.

Finding and Fighting Reapers

Once the Scattered Parts are stockpiled, it’s time to find the elusive Reapers. Navigate to the Events tab, select Hero’s Mission, and tap “Capture the Reaper.” The game points to a Reaper on the world map, and each Scattered Part summons one Reaper. After locating one, players initiate a rally and only one Reaper rally can be active at a time.

Rallying Reapers is a bit like hosting a potluck—everyone brings a dish, and nobody wants to be the one who forgot the ladle. Auto-join from the Alliance tab under Wars keeps the ladle circulating by automatically joining available rallies.

Defeating beasts also produces Loot, a special currency that can be exchanged for Hero XP, speedups, gems, and hero gear. Scattered Parts can be converted into Loot as well. The smart play is to defeat 10 Reapers for the milestone chests, then convert extra Scattered Parts into Loot instead of running additional rallies—saving time while still grabbing rewards.

Even after the event fades back into the snow, Loot rewards can still be claimed. That flexibility means no one needs to panic-spend their final Scattered Parts at 3 a.m.

For free-to-play players, Hero’s Mission remains a cornerstone event. The featured Mythic Hero shards are unavailable anywhere else during the three-day window.
